Neil has worked in the industry full-time since 2002. He has been on the production end, printing custom B/W and dabbling in the digital realm daily while assisting some of the industries up and comers on the side. Along with commercial shoots, Neil has been working on a series of ‘suspensions and performance piercing‘. This endeavor has been his mistress for the last 2 years. 2005 was a break through year. Neil Kohanski was awarded an honorable mention out of 17,000+ entries for an image from his Suspension series in the PEOPLE; ‘lifestyles’ category for the IPA 2005 (International Photography Awards). He enjoyed showing for the first time as part of a group show entitled ‘America’ at the Mendenhall Sobiesky Gallery in Pasadena, CA in August ‘05. A solo show soon followed in October ‘05 where his Suspension series was at the center of attention. Neil
